Once renowned as the world's toughest MTB stage race, the Crocodile Trophy has now concluded. Eight brutal stages, set against the unforgiving sun of Queensland, have reached their end. Originating in 1995, the Crocodile Trophy boasts a rich history, and this year marked both my first and, regrettably, my last time capturing its moments through my lens.
This race holds a special place in my heart. Camping with the riders, sharing meals, and enduring the challenges alongside them made for one of the most remarkable experiences. The suffering wasn't exclusive to the riders; my gear and I faced our own set of challenges. However, at the end of each day, coming together as a community, riders and photographers alike, made this event truly unique. The Crocodile Trophy's spirit is something I'll carry with me, cherishing the memories forged through shared struggles and triumphs.
